Don't expect anyone to believe that you have a girlfriend when you're at a videogame tournament. Especially if you're one of the ones running it.
They were giving out free shirts to all the girls there, and my secretary, who was one of about 3 girls there, got one. I told them I had a girlfriend I would give one to back home, and the lady just laughed and told me nobody believed me. I honestly can't blame her, but it was a cool shirt.
